Zapping the heart: new procedure tested to control dangerous rhythm in heart failure patients

NCT ID NCT07385417

Summary

This study is testing if a heart procedure is better than standard medication for people who have both an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) and a specific type of heart failure. The procedure uses electrical pulses to isolate problem areas in the heart. Researchers will compare how well the two approaches prevent serious heart-related problems and hospital visits.
