Early menopause heart risk under the microscope
NCT ID NCT04167033
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at how early menopause (premature ovarian insufficiency) affects the heart's electrical activity, specifically a measure called QTc that can signal risk for dangerous heart rhythms. Researchers will compare 120 women with this condition to healthy volunteers, and also check if hormone replacement therapy changes the QTc. The goal is to understand if these women need special monitoring for heart health.
