New heart scan aims to sharpen treatment for deadly rhythms
NCT ID NCT03713866
Summary
This study is testing a new imaging technique to better understand dangerous, fast heartbeats (ventricular tachycardia) that can cause sudden death. Researchers want to see if combining special heart scans with detailed electrical maps can help doctors more accurately target treatment. The study will enroll 20 people who have survived a heart attack and have an implanted defibrillator, and are scheduled for a procedure to treat these rhythms.
