New hope to stop irregular heartbeat comeback after surgery
NCT ID NCT05528419
Summary
This study tested if a medication called sacubitril/valsartan is better than a standard drug at preventing a return of irregular heartbeats after a corrective heart procedure. It involved 320 older adults with high blood pressure and atrial fibrillation who had undergone a catheter ablation. Researchers followed participants for one year to see which medication was more effective at keeping the heart in a normal rhythm.
