Summary
This study compares two approaches for people with permanent atrial fibrillation and heart failure with preserved pumping ability. One group gets a pacemaker plus a procedure to calm the heart's electrical signals, while the other continues with standard heart-rate-controlling medications. The goal is to see which method better prevents death or hospital stays for heart failure over two years. About 266 participants will be followed with regular checkups.
