New heart pump battles established device in High-Stakes trial

NCT ID NCT07296744

Summary

This study compares a new heart pump device called the Supira System to existing Impella devices during high-risk artery-opening procedures. The goal is to see if the new device is as safe and effective at supporting patients' blood flow during these complex operations. About 358 patients who need these high-risk procedures will be randomly assigned to receive either the new device or the standard one.
