New pill could shield Moms' hearts after dangerous pregnancy condition

NCT ID NCT07222852

Summary

This study aims to see if a daily blood pressure medication called enalapril is better at protecting women's long-term heart health after a high-blood-pressure pregnancy (like preeclampsia) than the medications doctors currently use. It will involve 60 women who have recently given birth and are already in a remote blood pressure monitoring program. The main goal is to test if this kind of study is practical to run and to check if enalapril improves blood pressure readings four months after delivery.
