New heart pacing technique aims to prevent future heart damage

NCT ID NCT07464041

Summary

This study compares two ways to pace the heart in people with a specific type of slow heart rhythm (AV block) who have normal heart pumping strength. Researchers want to see if a newer pacing method that targets a specific heart area is better at keeping the heart healthy long-term than the standard method. The goal is to find the safest and most effective approach to prevent future heart problems related to the pacemaker itself.
