Arm cuff could replace complex scans for heart blockage

NCT ID NCT07483125

Summary

This study is testing if a simple, wearable arm cuff that measures blood pressure can accurately detect a dangerous blockage in the heart's main pumping chamber. The test is for people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a condition where the heart muscle thickens. Researchers want to see if this easy, continuous monitor works as well as the current complex and infrequent ultrasound scans.
