Smart heart monitor aims to predict hospital visits before they happen

NCT ID NCT06989580

Summary

This study aims to learn more about irregular heartbeats in people with heart failure who do not have a pacemaker or defibrillator. Researchers will use a small, implanted heart monitor called the BIOMONITOR IV to track heart activity remotely for a long time. The goal is to see how often these rhythm problems occur and to develop a computer program that can predict when a patient's heart failure is getting worse, which could help doctors act sooner.
