Can common diabetes drugs help protect hearts and kidneys?

NCT ID NCT07237451

Summary

This study aims to understand how a class of drugs called SGLT2 inhibitors affects the long-term health of people who have both chronic kidney disease and a specific type of heart failure (HFpEF). Researchers will observe 200 patients, some taking the drug and some not, to see if it helps prevent major heart and kidney problems or death. The goal is to gather real-world evidence on whether these drugs offer protective benefits for this high-risk patient group.
