Could a simple scan spare patients from an invasive heart test?

NCT ID NCT07415369

Summary

This study aims to see if a standard, non-invasive heart scan (TTE) is accurate enough to rule out a serious heart infection called infective endocarditis. If it is, many patients could avoid needing a more invasive and uncomfortable test (TOE). The researchers will enroll 350 patients with suspected infection to compare the results of both scans and track their hospital outcomes.
