Local families get personal coaches to fight high blood pressure
NCT ID NCT05641519
Summary
This study is testing a community-based program to help prevent high blood pressure and heart disease in Latino and Vietnamese families in Santa Ana, California. For three years, some families will work with community health workers who provide personalized coaching, educational materials, and a health tracking app, while others receive standard heart health information. Researchers will measure changes in participants' blood pressure, diet, exercise, and other heart health factors to see if the personalized approach works better.
