Searching for the hidden heart risks of a dangerous pregnancy condition
NCT ID NCT07463898
Summary
This study aims to discover early warning signs in the blood that may indicate heart changes in women with preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication. Researchers will follow about 172 pregnant women in Nigeria, using heart ultrasounds and blood tests at two points during pregnancy. The goal is to see if specific proteins in the blood relate to heart changes seen on ultrasound and if they can help predict the mother's future health risks.
