Could a common drug help Babies' hearts heal themselves?

NCT ID NCT04713657

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called propranolol can help infants born with serious heart defects grow new, healthy heart muscle cells. Researchers want to see if this treatment can improve heart growth and potentially reduce future heart problems. The study involves 40 infants under 60 days old who have specific heart conditions, and researchers will examine heart tissue samples taken during necessary surgeries.
