Experimental gene injection tested for untreatable heart pain
NCT ID NCT01002495
Summary
This early-phase study aimed to test the safety of an experimental gene therapy called VM202 for people with chronic chest pain who couldn't get standard heart procedures. Researchers planned to inject the therapy directly into the heart using a special catheter to see if it could help grow new blood vessels. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
