NCT ID NCT07572916

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how sepsis (a severe infection) affects the hearts of newborn babies. Researchers will use a special ultrasound to check heart function and compare the results with blood markers of infection and heart damage. The goal is to see if this ultrasound can help doctors detect heart problems early in sick newborns. The study will include 80 babies: 40 with sepsis and 40 healthy ones.
