Doctors probe hidden heart strain after lung operations
NCT ID NCT07362342
Summary
This study aims to understand how the right side of the heart is affected after major lung surgery, especially in patients with existing heart or lung problems. Researchers will compare heart function in patients having minimally invasive 'keyhole' surgery versus traditional open surgery. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment, to see if one surgical approach is gentler on the heart.
