Could a Weight-Loss shot calm your irregular heartbeat?
NCT ID NCT03856632
Summary
This study is testing if a medication called liraglutide, which helps with weight loss, can improve the results of a standard heart procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib). Researchers think the drug might work by reducing harmful fat deposits around the heart. The study will involve 60 adults with AFib and a higher body weight who are already scheduled for the ablation procedure.
