Nerve-Zapping procedure could help millions with stiff heart failure

NCT ID NCT07331220

Summary

This study is testing if a procedure called pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) can help people with a common type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but is too stiff to fill properly. About 310 participants in China will be randomly assigned to get either the real PADN procedure or a fake 'sham' procedure, along with standard heart medications. The main goal is to see if the real procedure reduces the risk of heart-related death, hospital stays, or worsening symptoms over one to two years.
