Could a simple urine test help heart failure patients leave the hospital sooner?

NCT ID NCT07263035

Summary

This study is testing a new approach for treating people hospitalized with sudden worsening of heart failure. Researchers want to see if checking the salt level in a patient's urine and then adjusting their 'water pill' (diuretic) dose based on that result leads to better recovery. They will compare this method to the current standard treatment to see if it helps patients get better faster and reduces their chances of being readmitted to the hospital.
