No-Implant heart shunt aims to ease heart failure burden

Summary
This study is testing a new, minimally invasive heart procedure that creates a small opening between the upper chambers of the heart. The goal is to relieve pressure and reduce the number of times patients with heart failure need to go to the hospital. Researchers will compare the procedure to a sham (placebo) surgery in 350 participants to see if it's safe and effective.
