Heart failure patients may go home sooner with new injectable treatment
NCT ID NCT05419115
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether people with heart failure could leave the hospital earlier by receiving a special form of the water pill furosemide at home instead of staying in the hospital for IV treatment. 172 adults took part, and researchers measured how many days they were alive and out of the hospital within 30 days. The goal was to see if home treatment is a safe and effective way to manage symptoms and speed up discharge.
