Heart failure drug tested for hidden benefits beyond the heart
NCT ID NCT05420012
Summary
This study tested whether the heart failure drug vericiguat improves the health of patients' blood vessels and reduces body-wide inflammation. It involved 26 adults with chronic heart failure who were already on standard treatments. Researchers measured blood vessel function, walking ability, quality of life, and inflammatory markers to see if the drug helps in ways beyond just the heart muscle.
