New heart drug put to the test: can it repair a weakened heart?
NCT ID NCT07405944
Summary
This study is testing if adding the drug vericiguat to standard heart failure treatment helps improve the heart's structure and function. It will involve 60 adults with stable but weakened hearts who are already on standard medications. Researchers will compare those receiving the new drug plus usual care to those on usual care alone, using heart scans and blood tests over a year to see if the drug helps the heart heal.
