Three-Drug showdown for heart failure crisis

NCT ID NCT07372040

Summary

This study compares three different add-on medications (empagliflozin, acetazolamide, and metolazone) when given alongside standard diuretics to hospitalized patients with sudden worsening of heart failure. Researchers will measure how much urine patients produce over three days and track changes in blood and urine markers related to heart stress. The goal is to find which combination best helps remove excess fluid while monitoring safety and 30-day survival.
