New heart shunt device aims to ease heart failure symptoms

Summary

This study looks at a device called the InterAtrial Shunt that creates a small opening between the upper chambers of the heart to lower pressure. It is for people with heart failure and aims to improve symptoms and quality of life. The study will follow 500 patients in Germany to see how safe and effective the device is in everyday use.
