Simple reminder helps doctors spot hidden heart failure
NCT ID NCT01734135
Summary
This study tested if sending a reminder to a patient's doctor could improve the diagnosis of heart failure. It focused on patients who had a high level of a certain blood marker (BNP) but had not recently had a heart scan. The goal was to see if the reminder prompted more scans, leading to finding hidden heart problems and starting the right treatments.
