Heart Patients' hidden struggles: how mood and memory affect survival

NCT ID NCT07284446

Summary

This study aims to understand how common depression and memory problems are in people hospitalized for chronic heart failure, and whether these conditions lead to worse recovery outcomes. Researchers will follow 300 patients, asking them survey questions during and after their hospital stay to assess their mental health and thinking skills. The goal is to gather evidence that could lead to better screening and support for heart failure patients dealing with these hidden challenges.
