Nurse-Led clinics aim to keep heart patients out of hospital

NCT ID NCT04505007

Summary

This study tested whether a specialized clinic run by a heart failure nurse could help patients who have an implanted defibrillator (ICD) better manage their heart failure. Patients were randomly assigned to either this special clinic or their usual care. The goal was to see if the extra support helped patients take their medications correctly, improved their heart function, and reduced trips to the hospital.
