Scientists search for hidden clues in hearts of patients with two common conditions
NCT ID NCT07152301
Summary
This completed study aimed to better understand the relationship between two common heart conditions: chronic heart failure and permanent atrial fibrillation. Researchers compared 164 patients with both conditions to those with heart failure alone. They measured blood markers of inflammation and specific genetic molecules, and performed heart ultrasounds to look for patterns and connections.
