Can your heartbeat and a workout heal the scars of cancer?

NCT ID NCT03356171

Summary

This study tested whether a special breathing technique, called cardiac coherence training, combined with a tailored exercise program could improve the quality of life for adults who had been treated for blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma. 80 participants were randomly assigned to receive either just the exercise program or the exercise program plus the breathing training over 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if this combination helped reduce fatigue, anxiety, and depression, and improved overall well-being after cancer treatment.
