Scientists scan for the Heart's missing spark
NCT ID NCT00181259
Summary
This study aims to understand how the heart's energy production changes in people with heart failure and other heart conditions. Researchers will use a special type of MRI scan to measure energy-related chemicals in the heart muscle of 500 healthy volunteers and patients. The goal is to see if a lack of energy contributes to poor heart function, which could lead to better future treatments.
