New hope for fontan teens: major trial tests drug to boost energy and heart health

Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called udenafil can help teens who were born with a single ventricle heart and had the Fontan surgery. Researchers want to see if the drug safely improves how well the heart and lungs work during exercise. About 436 participants, aged 12 to 19, will take either the study drug or a placebo for 26 weeks to measure changes in their fitness and heart health.
