First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests if the drug eplerenone can improve blood flow to the heart better than a standard blood pressure medication in women who had preeclampsia during pregnancy and now have high blood pressure. About 90 women will take either eplerenone or chlorthalidone daily for 48 weeks, and heart function will be measured with special scans. The goal is to find a treatment that protects the heart in this high-risk group.
