Heart pump study tests which blood pressure pill works better

Summary
This study aims to determine which of two common blood pressure medications works better to improve blood flow to the heart muscle and make the heart pump more efficiently. Researchers will compare eplerenone against chlorthalidone in 75 adults who have high blood pressure and a thickened heart muscle. Participants will take one of the medications for 9 months while researchers use heart scans to measure changes in blood flow and heart efficiency.
