Summary

This study tested if a diabetes medication called Empagliflozin could help improve the structure and pumping ability of the heart in people with diabetes who had a serious heart attack. It involved 200 participants who received one of two doses of the drug and were monitored for 6 months with heart scans. The goal was to see if the drug could help the heart recover better and reduce future heart problems.
