New scan aims to spot hidden heart disease

NCT ID NCT05134012

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan that uses a special tracer called [15-O]-H2O to see if it can better identify blocked heart arteries. About 215 adults with suspected heart disease will get the scan once while resting and once after receiving a stress medication. The main goal is to see how accurately this new scan finds blockages compared to current standard tests.
