Major heart study aims to cut deaths in rural china

Summary
This large study aims to see if using a detailed heart scan (coronary CTA) to guide treatment is better than standard care at preventing heart attacks, strokes, and death in high-risk adults in rural China. Nearly 15,000 people aged 40-75 with high cholesterol, diabetes, or kidney disease will be enrolled. Villages will be randomly assigned to either receive the scan-guided treatment plan or continue with their usual care, and results will be tracked for up to 3 years.
