New heart disease treatment begins human testing

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug called Fx-5A that may help treat heart disease by improving cholesterol removal from blood vessels. Researchers are giving single doses to 64 healthy volunteers to check for safety, side effects, and how the body processes the drug. Participants stay in the hospital for monitoring after receiving the infusion and return for follow-up visits over several weeks.
