Heart plug study aims to stop second strokes

NCT ID NCT05529901

Summary

This study is monitoring a small heart implant device after it has been approved for use. The device is designed to close a small, common hole in the heart (called a PFO) in people who have had a stroke with no other clear cause. Researchers are tracking 300 patients in Japan to see how well the device closes the hole and how safe it is over time, specifically looking at whether it prevents more strokes.
