Heart plug trial aims to stop strokes without blood thinners
NCT ID NCT06707688
Summary
This study is testing a small implant called the Amulet 2 device, which is placed in the heart to seal off an area where blood clots often form in people with atrial fibrillation (AFib). The goal is to prevent strokes in patients who are at high risk but cannot take long-term blood-thinning medications. Researchers are checking how well the device seals the heart area and monitoring safety over two years.
