Do blood tests really show heart damage after surgery?

NCT ID NCT06066970

Summary

This study aims to understand how well common blood tests (troponin and CK-MB) actually measure heart muscle damage after valve surgery. Researchers will enroll 100 adults having isolated aortic or mitral valve surgery, comparing their blood test results with detailed heart MRI scans. The goal is to improve how doctors diagnose and interpret heart damage following cardiac procedures.
