Heart clot mystery: when to stop blood thinners?
NCT ID NCT07246005
Summary
This pilot study aims to determine how long people should take blood thinners after developing a clot in their heart's main pumping chamber. Researchers will compare continuing versus stopping medication in 120 participants to find the balance between preventing strokes and avoiding bleeding complications. The study will also test whether a larger trial on this important question is practical to conduct.
