Heart bypass breakthrough? One-Month drug combo could save lives

Summary
This study aims to find out if adding the blood thinner ticagrelor to standard low-dose aspirin for just one month after heart bypass surgery is better than aspirin alone. It will involve 700 patients with chronic heart disease to see which approach better prevents serious problems like heart attacks, strokes, or death, and keeps the new bypass grafts working. The trial will also track patients' quality of life and monitor for serious bleeding risks over five years.
