Summary

This study looks at why the heart gets damaged in people with sickle cell disease. Researchers will use special PET scans to measure blood flow to the heart during rest and stress. They will compare results from 40 young adults with and without sickle cell disease to see if reduced blood flow is linked to heart problems.
