New device aims to safely clear 100% blocked heart arteries
NCT ID NCT06795763
Summary
This study is testing a new catheter system designed to help doctors safely navigate through and reopen arteries that are 100% blocked (chronic total occlusions). The device uses special imaging to guide tiny wires through the blockage to restore blood flow. Researchers will enroll about 115 adults who still have chest pain or other heart symptoms despite taking medication, to see if the device is safe and effective at opening these difficult blockages.
