Minutes matter: new study links heart attack delay to dangerous heart rhythms
NCT ID NCT07175259
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study will follow 500 people having a major heart attack (STEMI) to see how the time between symptoms starting and getting treatment affects the heart's electrical signals. Researchers will check if longer delays lead to more dangerous heart rhythms or other complications in the hospital and over the next 6 months. The goal is to better understand why timing matters for recovery.
