New scan aims to speed up heart attack diagnosis in ER

NCT ID NCT05809648

Summary

This study is testing a new type of heart scan called magnetocardiography (MCG) to see if it can quickly and accurately tell if a patient's chest pain in the emergency room is caused by a heart attack or reduced blood flow to the heart. Researchers will compare the MCG scan results to current standard tests in 1,000 patients. The goal is to see if this technology can help doctors make a faster diagnosis, potentially reducing the time patients spend in the emergency department.
