New imaging method could save lives in heart attack patients with multiple blockages

Summary
This study compares two imaging methods to guide treatment of non-emergency blockages in heart attack patients who have multiple blocked arteries. About 1,800 participants will be randomly assigned to either a new angiography-derived blood flow measurement or standard angiography. The goal is to see which approach better prevents death, another heart attack, stroke, or the need for repeat procedures, while also reducing kidney injury and bleeding risks.
